One of France's most famous post-war artists, Arman (1928, France) made his name with his accumulations, assemblages of everyday objects and similar consumer articles displayed in boxes. A founding member of the Nouveaux Realistes, an early conceptual movement which also included César, he has been based in New York since 1975.
